Tom Guiry, best known for his role in The Sandlot, was arrested over the weekend for attempting to kick a cop in the face and successfully headbutting him.
He was allegedly intoxicated on a United Airlines flight at the Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas when an airline employee determined he was too drunk to fly.
According to TMZ, the employee called on an airport cop for assistance when Guiry wasn’t cooperative and he proved to be even less easy to deal with when he became verbally abusive and tried to kick the cop.
He was then arrested for felony assault on a police officer when he managed to headbutt the cop. He was released on $5,000 bail.
Guiry, now 31, recently spoke with Huffington Post for the 20th anniversary of the film and he said people still call him “Smalls” in honor of his character. He also called it "one of the best experiences of my life."
