The Golden Globes are kind of like the oddball child of awards shows – they’re often not as revered as the Academy Awards, but are taken more seriously than the People’s Choice Awards. Their limbo place in pop culture also makes it hard to find a good host, but the show hit the jackpot last year by enlisting comedic duo Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
Now, reports are coming in that the Golden Globes would like the funny ladies to do a sequel.
According to Variety, NBC is beginning to send word out to Fey and Poehler about returning to the hosting gig. However, no concrete talks have taken place. Both ladies are busy being awesome, anyway, with Fey pitching new shows to studios post-30 Rock and Poehler beginning work on the new season of Parks and Recreation.
Deadline notes the critical success of the ladies’ first run, which brought in almost 20 million viewers and garnered much praise.
