Going to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk was something I had really looked forward to. It’s so nice to go to a boardwalk and experience all that they have to offer.

The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk has it all; the beach, the food, the midway, the arcade and of course the rides. They even have indoor mini golf! It was nice to walk along and see all of the different midway games that people can play. We had a great time riding the rides.

When we were there, the lines for the rides were so short that we barely had to wait at all. The classic carousel had rings that you reach out and grab. Then you throw them and try to get one into the clown’s mouth, if you are successful the lights flash. The carousel has an antique organ, which was restored to play the classic music.

When I was a young kid my favorite ride was the boats that went around in a circle and you got to ring the bell. I was so delighted that they had that same ride. Yes, she loved ringing the bell too.

There were lots of rides that she could ride on her own and she really was excited to do that. She especially liked riding on a kid sized truck that went around on a track, and an old fashioned car that went around in a circle.

Our three year old had been talking for months and months about going on a Ferris wheel and at the Beach Boardwalk she finally got her chance. She got to see for miles around from the top and I think it really exceeded her expectations of what it would be like.

We all got to ride together on the Cave Train Adventure ride, which took us through a spooky cave, with cartoonish, animatronic cave men and dinosaurs. We enjoyed visiting the arcade too. It had the classic games like Skee ball and also video games even our three year old could play.
