Usher’s son, Usher Raymond V, is in the ICU at an Atlanta hospital after getting his hand stuck in a pool drain. He’s only 5 years old.
On Monday night, little Usher apparently dove into the pool to retrieve a toy when he was stuck underneath the water because he couldn’t free himself from the drain.
According to TMZ, his famous father was not home at the time but his aunt and the family’s housekeeper was there to give him CPR and rush him to the hospital. Both women dove in to save him but were unsuccessful, so two men that were working inside the home dove in and set him free.
Usher is the former Voice mentor’s oldest child with his ex-wife, Tameka Foster. They also have a son named Naviyd.
According to MTV News, the family went through a difficult time last summer, when Foster’s 11 year old son Kile died from complications from a jet skiing accident.
