Actor Vince Vaughn and his wife, Kyla Weber, welcomed home a son on Wednesday, the couple confirmed Friday.
The Internship actor’s rep confirmed the happy news to Us Weekly and E! News. The boy was born Wednesday, Aug. 7 at a hospital outside Los Angeles and weighed 8 pounds, 4 ounces. He measured 21 inches long. They named him Vernon Lindsay Vaughn, sharing the name of Vaughn’s father.
Vaughn announced that he and Webber were expecting their second child on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in April. He said that they were “very excited” about having another little one on the way.
Vaughn and Webber married in January 2010 and are the parents of daughter Locklyn Kyla, 2.
The couple appeared at Tony Bennett’s 87th birthday celebration and Exploring the Arts fundraiser just four days before the birth.
Vaughn’s most recent film was The Internship, which re-teamed him with his Wedding Crashers co-star Owen Wilson. “In Wedding Crashers we didn't have little kids visiting the set,” Wilson told Us magazine in June. “It wouldn't have been appropriate maybe for little kids, but I think on The Internship it was nice. It was nice to have my son visit -- and Vince's family.”
Vaughn will next be seen in Delivery Man on Nov. 22 and Anchorman: The Legend Continues on Dec. 20.
