This week’s episode of Web Therapy, Franny has some great news: she’s come to the conclusion that “Broadway is for nerds.” Franny was fired from her job composing music for Broadway musicals after presenting the music Fiona had secretly planted in her apartment. Frustrated, Franny went down to get some yogurt. While at the yogurt shop, Lady Gaga recognizes her, praises her musical ability, and tells Franny she wants to buy all the songs she’s holding (including Fiona’s music), and wants her to write all of her songs exclusively.
Jerome, for some reason, is at Fiona’s New York penthouse. Turns out he’s there because he found a new investor for the musical. The angel investor is none other than Jackson, the man Fiona’s been trying to shake off her leg the last two episodes. Jackson insists this is a coincidence, and wasn’t interested in investing until he found out Fiona was the subject. Turns out, Jackson is actually the leader of a scientology-like religion called Quorum. He’s finally seeing Fiona as the person she is - emotionally empty, her diaper is “soiled.”
After failing to get information from the government about the investigation into the campaign finances, Fiona calls up Robin and discusses Robin’s new documentary projects. Robin is catty right off the get go - and is planning to make a documentary about the campaign highlighting Fiona’s activity in it. Fiona called Robin to get footage from the secret cameras Robin had planted, and Robin agrees only if she gets an invitation to a party Fiona and her boyfriend are holding for Kenneth Branagh. Robin stands up from her computer for a moment to grab her cellphone when Fiona notices she has a baby bump - and it’s Richard’s. Turns out, Robin married Richard, the campaign’s old accountant.
Fiona’s called Jackson - he’s sent her a package with a machine that measures something related to Quorum, that’s something like a lie detector. If you answer something incorrectly - you are shocked by a small wire. Fiona starts asking questions about Quorum - whether or not it’s a scam. He’s failing all the questions asking about the legitimacy of Quorum, and to top it all off, Fiona has Skype-casted this to all of the members of Quorum.
Fiona’s really getting back into the swing of things, and no doubt has something planned for Robin at her party during the upcoming episode.
