This week’s episode of Web Therapy begins with Fiona rifling around in Karen’s home. She’s got Jerome on Skype while doing so, and she’s complaining about how she can’t find the briefcase Karen purchased from Ebay. From another room in her home, Karen calls Fiona on Skype. Fiona then tricks Karen into telling her what’s actually in the briefcase by telling her there are puzzles to solve inside of it. Karen reads off the pieces of paper, all of which are love letters to Kip from his boyfriend. Even after giving Karen a bunch of washcloths that are “covered in Kip’s sweat,” Fiona still can’t get her hands on her husband’s briefcase.
Robin calls Fiona to tell her about the time she had at the party - which apparently wasn’t very good. Robin had brought one of her boyfriends with her, Tyrone, who wore a pair of glasses that had cameras and microphones attached to them. Robin had Tyrone record everything at the party - including Fiona’s boyfriend Austin talking about how hacking people’s phones is common in his line of work - that all journalists do it at some point. Robin tells Fiona she’s taking all of her evidence to Parliament, where hopefully she’ll be rewarded by getting to meet the Queen.
Fiona’s next step is to call Richard - her husband’s campaign’s accountant, and Robin’s husband. Fiona tells Richard to steal the recordings from the party, and Richard says Robin’s very hard to deal with. She starts berating him about throwing all of his judgement out the window and marrying Robin, and he explains that she got pregnant so they had to get married. Robin said she was 95 percent sure that Richard was the father, even though she told him that she was with Tyrone once. Richard goes on to describe his new job that he got through Robin, which sounds a lot like a job with some drug lords and pimps. The Russians he’s working with give him death threats often, and Richard believes it’s all in jest. Again, Richard tells her that she needs to stop contacting him, and that he doesn’t know why the FBI are contacting him, the latter of which Fiona is surprised to hear. Richard mentions the name of some FBI agent, and before he’s finished telling her about it, Fiona begins googling the name and how it relates to any sort of Russian drug trafficking. Fiona hangs up on Richard as soon as she sees that FBI agent involved in Russian drug busts.
The next scene opens on Fiona sitting at her computer putting together shreds of paper. She gets a call from a furious Karen. Karen can’t believe that she just woke up after a day and a half of being asleep with all of her stuff gone and dressed differently. Fiona had drugged Karen with some cauliflower soup she left on her doorstep. While she was asleep, Fiona had people come in and clean her house out, burn everything that wasn’t of value to Fiona, clean Karen up, and reset her life. Karen starts talking about her past and how it had a whole lot to do with her mother, etc., etc., but Fiona stops her and tells her that, as an adult, Karen made bad decisions and should blame only herself about it. Fiona suggests that Karen should go see a Tom Hanks movie and act exactly like Tom Hanks did in the movie for the rest of her life.
Fiona calls Richard again - but he’s at work with the Russians. Fiona warns Richard that he’s going to get visitors - the FBI. Just in time, Richard is saved by Fiona’s warning.
