Missing Max’s sly quips? Caroline’s naïve can-do spirit? Oleg’s crude remarks? Have you been stuffing yourself with cupcakes to cure the hiatus blues? Before 2 Broke Girls returns Monday night, let’s take a look back at Caroline and Max’s past hijinks.

When we last saw Caroline and Max, they were cleaning the backroom of the diner in order for Han to get a good health inspection. As the besties’ argument over the cupcake business escalates, Max electrocutes herself by accident forcing Caroline to revive her using CPR.

While the season finale upped the drama for the waitresses, the season as a whole was filled with laughs and adventures.

Take the time Caroline took Max to visit Martin Channing in prison for instance. Caroline’s father reveals to Caroline that a former employee of his plans on releasing a tell-all book. And it’s up to Caroline and Max to defend Martin’s honor specifically his manhood to say the least.

How about that one episode when the girls need the money to help repair Chestnut’s horseshoe dilemma?

A casting crew conveniently wants to use the diner as a shooting location for Law & Order: SVU and Caroline and Max become extras on the show, but let’s just say plans go awry before the girls get their happy ending with Chestnut.

Another hilarious episode involved Caroline thinking she had herpes after having a casual encounter with her ex, Andy. The best parts of the whole fiasco showed Sophie calling Caroline out on her “Herp Walk” and advising Caroline to just be in denial.

One time when Andy Dick made a special appearance as J. Petto on the show, Caroline and Max faced their biggest obstacle yet when the puppeteer scared the customers away with his dolls in front of the cupcake shop.

Although Caroline and Max tell J. Petto off, the puppeteer slips on a cupcake and sues the girls. Leave it to Max to save the day by snatching J. Petto’s marionette and defiling it in front of the puppeteer.

Between having an encounter with 2 Chainz and the big opening of their cupcake shop, Caroline and Max have come a long way from being just downtown waitresses.

Nothing tops meeting Martha Stewart from the first season, and the girls had a few ups and downs, but they’ll be coming back stronger than ever for their third season.

2 Broke Girls airs on CBS at 9 p.m. on Mondays.
