If you can’t get enough Bryan Cranston and are disappointed that Breaking Bad is ending this Sunday, don’t fret. The actor will be making an appearance on the final season of How I Met Your Mother.
CBS announced on Twitter today that Cranston will again play Hammond Druthers, Ted’s (Josh Radnor) former boss.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the character has only appeared in two episodes before. They were filmed after Malcolm in the Middle ended and before Cranston began playing Walter White on AMC’s Breaking Bad.
HIMYM began its ninth and final season on Monday with a two-hour premiere on CBS. Wayne Brady returned to play Barney’s (Neil Patrick Harris) brother and John Lithgow is also set to return.
For Cranston, this is another post-Breaking Bad gig for the always-busy actor. He just finished Get A Job and Cold Comes The Night. He’s currently working on the 2014 Godzilla reboot and was cast as the late writer Dalton Trumbo last week. He has won three Emmys for Breaking Bad, which ends Sunday.
