At The Metro Court, Franco was surprised to open his hotel room door to find Heather Webber. She talked herself into being invited in and he allowed her to enjoy his birthday cake. Franco then wondered how she had gotten loose and Heather explained that she had a system for sneaking in and out on special occasions. She then announced that she had his birthday present. He didn’t know what to say when she gave him a painting of stripes and was then ready to show her out the door, but she refused to go back to her cell until she got what was rightfully hers, a BLT from Kelly's. Then, they argued and he told her that she didn’t know who she was dealing with. She replied him that he didn’t know who he was dealing with. Meanwhile, downstairs, an employee confirmed with Carly that Franco's suite was going to be comp'd. She confirmed that it would be indefinitely and remembered Franco blowing out his birthday candles. She then bumped into Felix, who wondered what had her on edge. She said that she was excited to hear about his blind date. He replied that he was just happy to get himself out there and asked if she'd been with anybody since her night of “hate sex” with AJ. She then got upset when he joked about her dating dangerous men. She then covered saying that she wasn’t upset and was joking too but then confesses that she was helping Franco. Felix couldn’t believe she was getting involved with that 'psycho' and decided to help her confront the situation so Felix dragged Carly upstairs and knocked on Franco's door. Inside, Heather got startled and knocked over a lamp. Felix then yelled thinking Franco was in there. Heather then got a knife while listening to Felix tell Carly to use her master key to gain entry into Franco’s room. Then, Franco arrived, with a Kelly’s BLT in tow and demanded to know what they were doing outside of his room.
At Kelly's, Vince told Shawn and Max that Sonny would find out who he worked for soon enough. Shawn then threatens to kill Vince if he didn’t tell them what they needed to know, but Vince still refused. Then, Shawn offered to show Max how to work the deep fryer. All of a sudden, Vince was eager to tell them what he knew when Shawn turned it on and moved his hand toward to scalding oil, but they were interrupted by Franco's knocking. Shawn answered and gave Franco a sandwich box to get him to leave. Vince then told Shawn and Max that he works for Julian Jerome. Later, Vince was surprised they let him go. Max suggested he catch the next boat to Toronto for fear of his boss finding out that he gave up his name.
At home, Sonny asked Ava to tell the cops what happened between her and AJ at The Floating Rib the night Connie was killed. She agreed to do so if he agreed to throw a party with her for Morgan and Kiki. He didn’t think it was a good time for a party but she believed they should acknowledge the occasion since they were both behind the couple. She then added that she knew this was a dark time for him and commented on whether it was better to feel too much pain or no pain at all when she saw his lithium pill bottle. She then recounted her own struggle being on lithium after suffering a loss, but Sonny then took the lithium from her. Ava apologized and said that she didn't mean to pry in his personal life. She was ready to leave when she got a text from Derek. Before she left, Sonny told her to throw the party.
At GH, Silas gave Sam an update on Danny and said he had signs of a certain bacteria. She was worried but Silas confirmed that it was good thing because it showed that cells were replicating and that the bacteria should be out of Danny’s system in a few days. Alexis left them and Silas thought Sam should go celebrate. She tried to reach Molly and Rafe Jr. but got their voicemails. Silas then said that they should talk first. He then said that he hoped they could have dinner when everything settled down. Then, Sam realized that he was asking her out on a date.
Elsewhere in the hospital, Derek told someone on the phone that Vince should keep his mouth shut so he wasn’t exposed. He then bumped into Duke and Anna and said, "Commissioner. It looks like you got me." He introduced himself and Anna introduced him to Duke as the publisher of the local paper. Anna inquired to his business there and he told them that he was Danny’s donor and joked about the odds. From the staircase above, Alexis watched the exchange as Duke stopped Derek to ask about a job. Derek encouraged him to send his paperwork his way and told Duke that from what he knew of him, he could use a man like him in his organization. Later, Alexis came down to be certain nothing was wrong between Derek and Anna and then he shared the good news about Danny getting better. She was ecstatic and hugged him but then awkwardly pulled away from him in the middle of their embrace.
Later, Derek found Vince on the pier before Ava met them. He admitted only giving up the name Julian Jerome and that he thought it was all good since everyone thought Julian was dead. Derek then decided that Vince could join him and shot Vince. Ava then kicked the body into the harbor.
At Sonny's, Shawn told Sonny that Julian Jerome was the person muscling in on Sonny's territory. Sonny then told Shawn that Julian Jerome was dead, but Shawn said that he was sure that Vince was telling the truth. Sonny then got angry since Shawn let Vince go. Then, Olivia walked in and wanted to know what was going on as Shawn left. She didn’t think it was a stretch to believe Julian was alive especially since two people named Jerome just moved to Port Charles. Sonny then told Olivia what he knew about Ava and told Olivia about the party. Olivia found the thought poorly timed since they were burying Connie the next day. Sonny agreed to take his meds later but threw out the bottle when Olivia left.
Alexis interrogated Silas and Sam at the hospital when she caught them talking privately. Silas admitted that they were making plans for dinner. Alexis and Silas then tried to sort out the differences they had before he saved Danny's life. He then admitted that he couldn't have been more wrong in the way he handled things with Sam and Rafe Jr. and that he now knew that Sam was a great mother. He then added that he didn’t believe he'd make a good parent. Sam tried to convince him otherwise and cited all the progress he'd made with Rafe Jr. Then, she realized he was talking about Kiki. He then said that he had to go and promised to call about dinner. Privately, Sam wondered if she was crazy for her interest in Silas but Alexis told her that she was glad she was putting herself out there even if Silas hadn't proven himself totally to her (Alexis) yet. Sam agreed, and commented even if Silas wasn't perfect like Derek Wells.
At The Metro Court, Carly and Felix wondered who was in Franco's room when Franco joined them outside his door. He didn’t want them to go in and Felix believed Franco had someone imprisoned in his room. Franco did confess that there was a woman inside. Then, Carly was stunned then got angry but claimed it didn’t matter to her since it wasn’t like he would get a chance with her anytime soon. She then said that he could stay but that he needed to provide a working credit card. She then stormed off with Felix behind her muttering about I told you so's. Franco then brought Heather her BLT, asked her to leave and thanked her for ruining his life because Carly now thought he was a sleaze. Heather ignored him and complained about the sandwich being pre-owned and cut off the bitten part. Then, she asked, "Who cares what Carly thinks?" and said that she thought Franco had dodged a bullet if Carly wasn’t interested in him. Franco then got sappy dreaming about a normal life. Heather then cheerily admitted that she still loved him.
At the pier, Derek was eager to get to the hospital but Ava reminded him that he'd been given up to Sonny's goons. Derek replied that he was confident that Sonny believed that Julian was dead. He had a new identity and face and Sonny won't know what hit him, Derek told Ava. He then added that he needed Sonny out of the way when he hijacked his shipment. Ava then bragged about solving that problem and told him that she and Sonny were having a party for Kiki and Morgan the same night. Derek wasn’t happy to learn Ava met with Sonny against his wishes, but Ava made it clear that he wasn’t her boss. Derek then worried that Sonny could start to put two and two together. Nearby, Carly shushed Felix when she saw Derek and Ava together. Felix asked why she wasn’t saying hello. Carly told him that she couldn’t stand Ava because the first time she laid eyes on her she was kissing Franco and that she was certain Ava was up to something with Derek as sure as she was up to something with Franco before. Meanwhile, Ava told Derek about Sonny's bi-polar condition and he liked the sound of a mob-boss off his meds. Then, she left and Derek heard a noise. Carly started a fake argument with Felix and hit him as Derek found them. Once they were alone, Felix wondered if Derek bought their story. Carly didn’t care and thought that Derek needed to worry about if they bought his.
In the Quartermaine boathouse, Kiki walked in on Morgan playing poker online, but he hid it before she saw what he was doing. She then told that she and Morgan had been kicked off the Quartermaine property like Franco. Morgan wanted her to ask Silas for help but she told him that she wasn’t ready to get to know him as her father yet. He apologized for their situation being so screwed up but didn’t think she could blame Silas for what happened with Franco. She agreed and then answered a knock at the door. It was Silas coming to say hello. He said that he was glad to see her since he could now focus on other areas of his life now that Danny was better. Then, Ava arrived and tried to convince Kiki to allow her and Sonny to throw her and Morgan a wedding reception. Kiki replied that she didn't trust her mother but Morgan thought it was just a party. Then, Kiki agreed if she could invite the father of the bride. Silas then told Kiki that he would be there.
Derek met Alexis and Sam at GH and told them that he confident about something he was working on.
At The Metro Court, Carly asked Spinelli to investigate Derek Wells. Meanwhile, Ava told Derek that she thought they should stop meeting in public as they shared the elevator. He agreed but reminded her that about the cover they’d been using, that she’s his art buyer. They then discussed not wanting to raise suspicions and their plans to attend Connie's memorial. Ava suggested that they sit together since they've built a 'business relationship' and Sonny might not even notice them if he's off his meds. Derek then promised to catch up with her after his job interview with Duke. Ava was amused by this recent development and sympathized that Duke would be working with his former boss and tormenter, Julian Jerome and not even know it. Derek cut her short as Duke approached. He was surprised they knew each other. Ava then excused herself and interrupted Carly and Spinelli. She told Carly that she hoped she would help her and Sonny plan Kiki and Morgan's wedding reception. Once alone with Spinelli, Carly begged him to keep looking into Derek and Ava. He tried not to appear distracted as he saw a dad with a baby. Nearby, Derek interviewed Duke. He told him that he was impressed with his resume but wondered why he should hire someone who once took orders from Julian Jerome. Duke assured him that part of his life was over and shared his feeling that Julian Jerome was incompetent. Derek hired him. Before leaving, Derek told Carly that he remembered Felix from the hospital and thought he was a nice guy. Carly noted that he wasn’t her boyfriend and added, "Things aren't always what they seem." She then asked about his girlfriend and Derek admitted that Ava wasn’t his girlfriend either.
Dante comforted Olivia at church before Connie's memorial. He told her that he knew that Connie would live in their hearts and now in her namesake. Olivia then gave him an earful about Sonny's new BFF, Ava Jerome, but Dante said that he had no knowledge of Ava being connected to the Jerome crime family. Olivia thought there was something to the claim that Vince was working for Julian Jerome even though Dante insisted that Julian Jerome was dead.
At the Dante and Lulu’s, Anna was happy to watch baby Connie during the funeral and eager to have a word with Lulu about Maxie. Lulu told her that she understood Maxie's attachment to baby Connie but was upset that she went over the line by trying to nurse the baby. Anna replied that she was sure Maxie just needed time to heal just like she did after she had to leave Robin behind when she was a little girl. Lulu thought the situations were different for Maxie since the baby she gave up wasn’t hers. Then, Dante came by to pick up Lulu and told Anna about Vince’s confession that he was working for Julian Jerome before they left. Later, Duke arrived and Anna told him that Julian Jerome may not be dead.
At the apartment, Ellie overheard Maxie scream at a florist about not having freesias at Connie’s memorial because she hated them, "The people who cross me live to regret it," she barked at the florist before hanging up. Ellie then confronted Maxie. She told her that she didn’t regret her actions but admitted that she lost Spinelli as Maxie had warned her she would. Maxie didn’t want Ellie to tell anyone else and told her that she and Spinelli had given up their baby forever. Ellie warned that forever was a long time and that Maxie should consider her happiness, not Lulu and Dante's. Maxie said that she couldn’t hurt Dante and Lulu that way and left. When Spinelli arrived, Ellie shared her concern for Maxie.
Morgan and Kiki made love at the Quartermaine boathouse. While getting ready Morgan told her the news that Alice had an in with the Quartermaines and they could stay. Later, Alice showed up with the news that they had to go - their free ride was over.
At Sonny's, Michael looked at a family picture of Sonny with him Morgan. He was worried when Sonny wasn't dressed for the memorial. Sonny then told him that he wasn’t going then got angry when Michael asked if he was off his meds but soon apologized for going off on him and said that he wasn’t in his right mind. Michael knew it was more about AJ than anything else and then told Sonny that he asked AJ to “muzzle Diane.” Michael then shared that he'd made amends with Morgan and was sorry for wanting to believe Morgan had lied to him. Sonny wanted to tell Michael the truth but Morgan and Kiki arrived before leaving for the memorial. Once they were alone, Michael told Sonny that being at the memorial was the last decision he would make for him and Connie and suggested that he make it a decision he could live with.
Alone at the church, Olivia asked Connie for a sign because she needed to know if her concerns over Ava Jerome were justified. Suddenly, Ava arrived. Olivia told her that she would have thought she had better things to do but Ava thought the party was something positive for everyone during these trying times. Later, Family and friends of Connie’s poured in including Sonny, and Dante and Lulu told Spinelli and Maxie the baby's name.
At Felix and Sabrina’s apartment, Taylor left Rafe Jr. numerous messages hoping to discuss TJ and Molly. Felix wondered what she was up to when there was a knock at the door. His smile widened when he found a sexy Latino man looking for Sabrina. The man introduced himself as Carlos Rivera, a friend of Sabrina’s from Puerto Rico.
Patrick kissed Sabrina at home and was eager to share his gratitude for all she had done. He let her know about their plans for the evening when Emma woke up not feeling well and Patrick found that she had pink eye. After having no success in finding a sitter, Sabrina offered to stay home so Patrick could go to work. Once they were alone, Sabrina convinced Emma to accept her eye drops but Emma was thinking about how her mommy used to make her feel better and that Sabrina wasn’t the same.
At GH, Silas ignored an incoming call from Ava and Rafe Jr. did the same when Taylor called. Silas then apologized for trying to take Rafe Jr. away from Sam. Rafe Jr. was pleased that something was going on between the two of them. Silas admitted that a lot had changed for him now that he had a daughter. He then encouraged Rafe Jr. to reach out to his new cousin before asking how things were going with him and Molly. Rafe Jr. then told Silas how disappointed he was about Molly getting back with TJ. Nearby, Sam thanked Molly and Nikolas for everything they'd done for her and Danny when Nikolas rushed off to follow Britt. Molly hoped that wasn’t a bad sign when TJ joined them. He kissed her after hearing the good news about her new book’s e-sales, and Rafe Jr. saw them. They shared the news and invited him to join them but Rafe Jr. excused himself, disappointed.
Meanwhile, Nikolas caught up with Britt before she was discharged and wondered where she would be staying. She told him that she planned on going back to Felix and Sabrina's apartment and thanked him for all his help. Later, Nikolas saw Patrick and let him know how Britt was doing and where she was staying. Patrick was surprised since Sabrina didn't mention Britt was going back to the apartment.
After visiting Danny, Sam saw Silas, he told her how he had touched base with Kiki and how she had invited him to her wedding reception. Sam was pleased and he thanked her for her part in it before inviting her to go with him to the wedding reception. She kindly replied that she wasn’t ready to leave Danny alone yet so Silas agreed to make a go of it alone.
At the nurses' station, Felix learned that Sabrina was babysitting Emma when he arrived with Carlos. Carlos was interested in who Patrick was but Felix stepped away to have a word with TJ. Privately, Felix told TJ that Taylor was still pining for him. TJ told him that he was sorry and promised not to have anything more to do with her. Felix then bumped into Nikolas and laughed at the news that Britt would be moving back in with them, he didn’t think so.
Kiki was pleased when Michael showed up at Sonny's. He told her how surprised he was at the news that Sonny and Ava were throwing Morgan and Kiki a wedding reception, but wasn’t surprised that he wasn't invited. Kiki was and said that would like him to be there because they had to get past what happened and she encouraged him to bring a date.
Rafe Jr. went to see Taylor at the apartment and admitted that watching TJ and Molly together was driving him insane. He then added that he was interested in whatever Taylor had in mind to fix the situation. She warned him that it may hurt TJ and Molly temporarily but they agreed it was for the best and toasted to Taylor's plan – Operation Main Squeeze. Then, Taylor got a call from Britt looking for a place to stay. Taylor told her that she was sorry, but she couldn’t help her now that things were good between her and Felix.
Back at GH, Taylor invited Molly and TJ on a double date and kissed Rafe Jr. when he arrived.
Elsewhere, Nikolas found Britt and let her know that it was okay that she had nowhere to go.
Meanwhile, Penny received a call from Michael inviting her to be his date for the wedding reception while Felix told Patrick about Sabrina's handsome friend, Carlos.
At The Metro Court, Ava thought Silas couldn’t ignore her now but she ended up leaving him a message when he didn’t answer. Then, Morgan arrived eager to help but Ava warned him that she knew how he screwed her over by almost maxing out her credit card by continuing to gamble online. She then told him how she could do the same to him by telling Kiki that he lied to her. She then said that she was ready to cancel the wedding reception but he begged her not to. Morgan thought they both had a lot to lose and reminded her that he was the only reason Kiki was talking to her. Ava liked this side of him but whether or not she told Kiki depended on how he repaid his debt to her in the coming weeks. Then, they shook on it and agree to keep things from Kiki when she arrived and asked them what they were keeping from her.
Carlos arrived at Patrick's and kissed Sabrina passionately.
Outside Sonny's, Michael bumped into Carly and surprised her with the news that he was going to the wedding reception. Inside, Sonny invited Olivia to dance, but party mood caught her off guard. He told her that he wasn’t grieving because Connie would have wanted him to do this. Sonny then said that he was ready to celebrate life, not death, like Ava said. Olivia then stepped out when Shawn and Max interrupted and greeted Carly as she came in. Carly couldn’t believe when Olivia told her that Sonny was in a good mood, all because of Ava. Then, they both realized they shared the same feelings about Ava. In the living room, Sonny appeared angry, hoping Shawn and Max could handle the shipment on their own. Max looked worried as Sonny chuckled and said, "I'm just playing with you." Shawn and Max seemed relieved as Sonny left.
From the pier, Derek phoned Sam for an update on Danny and mentioned it was his last call now that he was busy taking his business in Port Charles to the next level. Then, he got a call from Ava, who was wondering if all was proceeding as planned. He confirmed that it was and told her to enjoy her party. Soon, he overheard Shawn and Max discussing Julian Jerome and that Shawn wasn't able to find Vince to ask him more questions.
At GH, Patrick left Sabrina a message wondering if her friend from Puerto Rico had caught up with her. After, he checked up on Sam, who shared her thoughts on Silas. She told him how things had changed between then and that Silas even invited her to a party. Patrick thought the real reason she turned Silas down was because of Jason, not Danny. Patrick then advised her to take a break from watching Danny.
Carlos kissed Sabrina at Patrick's and waited for her to invite him in so he could tell her about his business in Port Charles. She didn’t want to with Emma sleeping in the other room but he wouldn’t leave. He told her how she was the girl he was in love with but Sabrina didn’t want to hear it. She told him how things were different now and that she was in love with Patrick. She then added that she wanted Carlos to finish up his business in town and leave. He left and later, Patrick came home and mentioned a friend was looking for her.
Kiki arrived at The Metro Court and asked what Morgan and Ava were hiding. Ava teased her about Morgan's surprise for her later and told them to get ready. Silas showed up in the middle of Ava's call to Derek and took the elevator up alone. She told Derek that she planned on having a good time and reminded him that Sonny would be occupied all evening. Upstairs, Ava told Silas that she hoped he understood why she kept Kiki a secret. Silas wanted to get a drink but Ava said she’d get it since he was her co-host. Ava then tried to greet Sonny, Carly and Olivia when they arrived but Sonny loudly worked his way to the bar. Carly was certain that he was off his meds, but Olivia wasn't sure. Michael then introduced Penny to his family followed by Ava introducing the happy couple. Michael and Kiki's eyes met and Penny soon realized Kiki was the one Michael was caught up on. Ava then invited the parents to join the dance. While Ava tried to take a walk down memory lane with Silas, Carly argued with Sonny about not taking care of himself. Later, Silas told Kiki that he had no expectations and that he didn’t have to be an instant dad. Michael then approached Kiki and confessed that Penny left. Morgan interrupted them and requested that Michael make a toast. Nearby, Carly and Olivia discussed getting Sonny home to take his meds while they watched him flirting with the staff. Ava made her way back to Silas desperate to connect with him. She believed he must want her too and kisses him. Then, Sam arrived and saw the kiss from the elevator and left as Silas rushed downstairs to catch her. Meanwhile, Michael toasted the couple believing Kiki was now the one who could keep Morgan in line. He added that he hoped Morgan realized how lucky he was. Then, Sonny announced he had a toast. He promised Morgan he wouldn't tell but confessed that he knew Kiki wasn't Michael's cousin.
There was an explosion at the docks and Shawn and Max rushed away to the scene. When Carlos arrived, Derek complimented him on a job well done.
