She then teased him for thinking she'd take over his coffee business or that she was a member of the Jerome mob family. He then asked, "Are you?" She reminded him that he ran a check on her and found no such connection. Sonny replied that she might have covered her tracks. Ava fired back that she realized having the name Jerome pushed a lot of buttons in Port Charles, including Duke Lavery's. Sonny then talked about the history of the Jeromes and Ava reiterated that she wasn’t associated with any crime family but then admitted to having Connie's blood on her hands. Sonny was eager to know why. Ava then recounted having a drink with AJ at The Floating Rib. She then offered to tell the police about her encounter with AJ but wanted something in return.
Max visited Shawn at Kelly's. He told him that he was sure that Sonny was fine and that he was visiting with Morgan's mother-in-law. Shawn replied that he thought that Sonny's head wasn’t in the game after telling Max how Sonny had called him 'Jason' earlier. Max thought it was just an old habit given Sonny's history with Jason. Shawn then said they needed to take charge and find out more about the gambling ring players since Vince back and snooping around Port Charles. Later, Shawn and Max brought Vince back to Kelly's. Shawn interrogated him for nosing around and then punched him for insulting Connie's memory.
