Rapper A$AP Rocky has been charged with assault for allegedly attacking a female fan during his show at the Made In America Festival in Philadelphia over the weekend.

While taking the stage to perform new material from his album Long. Live. ASAP, the rapper descended into the crowd and tried to make his way through a group of screaming female fans. The woman, a young mother who filed a criminal complaint with the District Attorney's Office, said he turned around and slapped her it the face with an open hand.

According to TMZ, she claimed to have suffered whiplash from the hit.

After she submitted the complaint, the D.A.’s office decided to charge him with misdemeanor simple assault. Last year, he was accused of slapping a fan during a concert in Australia. He also reportedly lost his temper with security guards at the MTV Video Music Awards at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

Entertainmentwise notes the Jay-Z-led Made in American Fest featured acts from other big name artists, such as his wife, Beyonce, and her sister Solange Knowles.
