His wife Candice has been by his side through a series of many surgeries over the last six years, according to Gawker. She acts as the camera women in the video. Inquisitir posted Mortenson’s response to the video, “I wish I could remember this but I was definitely out of it. In a previous surgery I suffered a severe complication and we didn’t know if I’d ever function the same again. [Candice] is the love of my life.”
