The time has come. It is the America’s Got Talent finals. The final six acts will perform and only one will win the million dollar prize and a headlining show in Las Vegas. Tonight will be a little different as each act will perform twice. The acts get to chose a favorite performance from past. Jimmy Rose is the first to take the stage. He chose to sing the original song he sang at his very first audition. I must say that Jimmy has been a fan favorite, and tonight choosing to sing this song once again was a great choice. He set the mood for the rest of the competition. Howard said that when Jimmy writes original music it connects with him. Heidi says that America fell in love with him right from the start.
Next onstage is Kenichi Ebina. He chose to reenact his first audition which was a matrix dance. However he wanted to tweak it a little so he added lasers. The super hero as Nick called him. He definitely brought it to the next level. Truly amazing says Howie Mandell. Howard Stern said they saw him do this originally and he is amazed how much better he has gotten. He calls him a superstar. Heidi loves it so much her jaw drops every time. Mel B tells him he deserves to win it all. Cami Bradley takes the stage and she chose to sing Cher’s ‘do you believe in love after love’ again. She received a great response from everyone and second time around she kills it. Absolute perfection. The judges give her a standing ovation. Howard tells her she should win too! Heidi tells her she is so proud of her. Mel B tells her she can hear her sing for days. Howie tells her she is a unique star.
Next is Collins Key. He is known to be very intimate with his trick, so he chose this setting. He asked Heidi and Mel B to pick a card and sign it. He then places the card back to back and asks the ladies to bite the card on each end. Then he claims the card starts melting and it becomes one card instead of two. Heidi is in shock, and tells him he is amazing. Howie calls him the master of confusion. Howard tells him he is amazing and tells him he has a great future. Mel B called that his best performance and tells him he is inspirational. The next act is Forte, they chose to sing the song they sang in the Vegas rounds. They lit up all of radio city music hall and everything was magnificent. Their singing the lights, it all sounded amazing. Howie calls them brilliant. Howard says he is overwhelmed by everyone’s performance. Heidi tells them she loves them.
Taylor Williamson shares how upset he was when he was told he had to tell the same jokes he told in the past. He says it doesn’t work like that in comedy. He comes onstage and tells a couple of the jokes he has said in the past. He teases Heidi and then claims everyone had lasers and a choir, so he asks for a choir and gets it. This guy is great, he had me laughing out loud. The crowd starts chanting Taylor. Howie agreed with Taylor its hard to ask a comedian to do the same thing twice. He tells him he made it better and added originality. Howard calls him a terrific performer. Mel B tells him he is awkward weird and likes it a lot.
Everyone has gone once, now on their second performance they do something original. The first one up was Cami Bradley. What she chose to do this time is be a performer. She had no guitar and no piano. Just herself onstage engaging with the audience. Howard calls her a confident performer. Mel B calls it flawless. Heidi tells her she never disappoints. Howie tells her she is a star and she makes him want to hold her hand, and he never does that.
Collins Key brings his magic back onstage. Explaining Collin’s magic tricks are always a little difficult. He posted a video on YouTube the day before making a prediction. He had audience member take a pic in a photo booth with a hash tag of their choice. The producers chose a group of them to join Collin onstage. Collin then had copies of their picture and he asked Howie, Mel B, and Heidi to choose a picture. The three photos of the members stepped forward. Collin then plays the video and he describes what the people look like and their hash tag. I have no idea how this kid does it. Mel B calls it breathtaking. Howie tells him he gets better and better. Howard likes the fact that Collin followed his advice. Heidi likes how current he is by incorporating YouTube and hash tag.
Next onstage is Jimmy Rose. He has all the great qualities of a country singer. Mel B said if he had an album she would buy it and calls him a lovely guy. Howie tells him his performance is good not great. Howard tells him he did not hear the knockout punch. Heidi tells him he gives America what they want to hear.
Taylor Williamson comes onstage. He is just a great comic. He gives you a show not just jokes. Everyone stood up even the judges. Mel B tells him he is funny and that’s it. Howie said he is brilliant and it’s tough. Howard tells America they have to vote for him. I really believe Taylor has evolved and has become a star.
Next onstage is Kenichi Ebina, he did a sort of dance routine with multiple characters of himself. Which was very different from what he has done. Everyone stood up, except for Mel B, she said he is very talented but this performance did not blow her away. Heidi tells him his creativity is limitless. Howard tells him he is mesmerizing and deserves to win America’s Got Talent. Howie then gets up and tells America they has to vote, Howard tells him to call down. There is obviously a lot of passion and commitment to Kenichi.
Forte are the last of the night. They always bring down the house. Epic says Nick Cannon. Heidi tells them they did the song justice, amazing. Mel B told them it was breathtaking and gorgeous. Howie told them they delivered a brilliant song. Howard tells them they are terrific.
Tonight’s performances were all phenomenal, everyone brought their A game. America will have a tough time deciding the winner of AGT.
