To remember singer Amy Winehouse for what would have been her 30th birthday, a statue was planned to be unveiled this month in north London. However, Winehouse's father rejected the final product, unsatisfied. The unveiling is now delayed until further notice.

According to News Max, sculptor Scott Eaton made a statue to be displayed outside the Roadhouse concert hall in Camden. Mitch Winehouse, Amy's father, doesn't think the statue quite lives up to his daughter's likeness.

Reg Traviss, Winehouse's ex-boyfriend, told the Daily Mail that “Mitch wants it to be just right and he doesn’t want anything to go up that he’s not completely satisfied with. But obviously it’s never going to look exactly like her.”

The bronze statue is a life-size portrayal of the singer featured Winehouse in a retro dress and her signature beehive hairstyle.

Several residents are also opposed to the statue, holding the opinion that an addict isn't the best person to be honoring with a statue. Winehouse died in 2011 at age 27 of alcohol poisoning.
