James Franco isn’t the only one who got roasted at his Comedy Central roast, as his one-time Academy Award co-host, Anne Hathaway, was also in the hot seat.
Franco was recently the subject of the Comedy Central Roast of James Franco, with Jeff Ross saying that he and Hathaway had the “comedic chemistry of Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman.”
Us Weekly reports that others took the opportunity to take digs at Hathaway, with Seth Rogen saying "Look at me doing all the talking while you sit there doing nothing. I feel like I'm co-hosting the Oscars with you."
Nick Kroll, who was also there that night to help roast Franco, said "James, honestly, what happened with you and Hathaway? Did you guys f---? You know what, you're a gentleman, you don't have to answer that. Just squint once if yes. If anyone bombs here tonight they're just doing an impression of James Franco at the Oscars.”
The special aired on Sept. 2 on Comedy Central.
This is the End, written by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg and starring Franco, will hit theaters again following Franco's roast. The film has made $96.8 million domestically and this move should help it reach the $100 million mark.
