After releasing her first solo album, Ariana Grande’s voice doesn’t like ‘The Way’ things are going.

The 19-year-old pop singer is on vocal rest after suffering a hemorrhaged vocal chord, according to E! News.

Grande’s album Yours Truly debuted at number one on Billboard’s top 200, making her the first female artist to debut at number one on their first album since Ke$ha’s Animal in 2010, according to Billboard.

Grande tweeted on Sept. 11 that she had lost her voice from screaming too much at her party.

Although being put on vocal rest, Grande has been the opening act for Justin Bieber, according to Teen Vogue

Grande recently said that Beiber texted her and called her cutie, according to hollywoodlife.com. The singer already had to defend herself via twitter after she posted a picture of the two kissing. The picture has since been removed.

On Aug. 9, Grande tweeted, "Everyone, girls are allowed to be friends with guys. I'm a lady. Chill out."

The pop-singer has been compared to Mariah Carey with her hit ‘The Way’ because their vocal styles are closely related. Grande told Rolling Stone.

“It's an incredible compliment but it doesn't worry me, because when you listen to my album as a whole, you get to know me,” She said to the magazine.

Yours Truly is now available to purchase.
