The Chicago Bears improve to 3-0 after beating Big Ben and the Steelers 40-23.

In the closing minutes of Sunday's contest, Ben Roethlisberger fumbled and Julius Peppers picked it up and ran 42 yards to put the icing on the cake of a 40-23 victory.

"I happened to be at the right place at the right time and the ball bounced to me," Peppers said. "I got a hand on it and took it in, so there wasn't much else to talk about. That was the longest run I had with the ball, yes, I will tell you that."

According to Sports Illustrated the Bears converted four of their five forced turnovers into points, keeping the Steelers from making a second half comeback. The Steelers fall to 0-3 after cutting down a 21-point Chicago lead but fumbling it away.

"We can't, I can't, turn the ball over, plain and simple," Roethlisberger said after the game.

Roethlisberger completed 26 of 41 passes for 406 yards and threw two touchdowns to Antonio Brown , but also fumbled twice and threw two interceptions.

The Chicago Tribune reports that this is the first time the Bears have started off 3-0 since 2010.

Jay Cutler finished the game completing 20 of 30 passes for 159 yards and a touchdown to Earl Bennett.
