Wednesday’s episode of Big Brother features the final five houseguests of the season: Andy, Spencer, GinaMarie, Judd, and McCrae have made it to the end of the game. However, only one can win, and another houseguest is quickly eliminated during the live eviction (and it may not be his first time on the hot seat with Julie Chen).
We begin with flashbacks to HOH Spencer’s nominations. He nominates McCrae and GinaMarie for eviction, using a short and simple speech. He tells McCrae he has broken his trust one too many times, and he reminds Gina that she has nominated him twice and he is merely returning the favor.
At this point, it is the four exterminators against McCrae. Their four-person alliance “of outsiders,” as Julie called them, has made it far in the game, but they still have one more person to evict before they can officially make it to the end.
Spencer’s goal is to lull McCrae into a false sense of security—he continually tells him he is safe and not to worry about it. Spencer and Andy both emphatically tell McCrae that GinaMarie is the target, not him. Their reason for doing so is simple: they hope McCrae will not try his hardest in the veto if he feels safe in the game. However, McCrae is a self-entitled “super fan,” and he knows that he cannot trust anyone in the game but himself. He tells us he will work hard to win the veto, and he knows his time left in the house may be short-lived if he does not pull out a victory.
Spencer’s duties as HOH are not finished after his nominations—he must hand out punishments to the houseguests as a result of the HOH competition. GinaMarie and McCrae must be linked together for 24 hours. McCrae sarcastically tells us that GM “is so much more attractive” since they have had the experience, and she bursts out laughing.
In addition, Judd is also punished in the form of constant exercise. He has to do 75 sit-ups at one point, and 15 jumping jacks, too. To say the least, Judd is not happy. The drill sergeant yells, “Stop whining, dirt bag!”
Before long, it’s time for the veto competition to begin! The houseguests pile into the backyard in super-hero costumes to find that huge buildings have been constructed with roadways underneath. McCrae is ecstatic—he is a comic book nerd and loves that they will be able to “fly around.” Just when the HG’s think they have taken in their surroundings, they see something fly down from the sky—it’s a bird…it’s a plane…no, it’s BB14 winner, Ian Terry!
Ian describes the competition to them—they will have to assemble a puzzle of the veto symbol. By hitting a button, they will activate their boards for 20 seconds. After that, the puzzle will fall and break into pieces, so they need to remember to “fly” back and forth to reset their time.
It is the four exterminators against McCrae, and it is time for the competition to begin!
Judd keeps forgetting about the time limit, and his board breaks within seconds. He decides to help Andy win instead of trying to win himself. It eventually comes down to McCrae and Andy, and the competition is close. McCrae puts together his puzzle at lightning speed, and the underdog has done it—McCrae has won the Power of Veto!
Now the exterminator alliance must regroup and rethink. Who will be the target now that McCrae has won himself safety? They come to a collective decision that Judd will be the replacement nominee. Judd is quickly thrown into a state of paranoia that he will go up and be eliminated for a second time. He begins throwing things around, muttering to himself, and giving the camera the middle finger. Andy calls Judd “an emotional basketcase,” and all of the HGs seem worried about Judd’s state of mind.
Before long, it’s time for the veto ceremony. Unsurprisingly, McCrae takes himself off the block. Also unsurprisingly, Spencer nominates Judd in his place. However, something does take us by surprise at this veto ceremony—Judd calls everyone to a halt right before the ceremony ends, and tells McCrae he is coming after him. However, he reminds Spencer and Andy that he is not coming after them, and that they should vote to keep him.
The whole house is wondering what’s going on with Judd at this point. Why did he threaten McCrae? It seems as though everyone is slowly becoming convinced that it’s Judd time to leave the house….yet again.
It is time for the live vote and eviction to begin. One by one, the houseguests go into the diary room and cast their votes to evict. McCrae is first, and he votes to evict Judd. Andy is next, and he votes to evict Judd as well. It’s a 2-0 vote, and it becomes apparent that Judd will be the next member of the jury.
Julie delivers the news to the house, and Judd gets up to leave. He hugs only McCrae and GinaMarie. He whispers words of encouragement to McCrae before he leaves. He also tells Andy and Spencer he will be voting for them to win in the end.
Judd walks out of the door to applause from the live audience. GinaMarie says his picture has gone black and white once again. He tells Julie he was trying to use reverse psychology on the houseguests—he does not want Spencer or Andy to win, so he was hoping that the other HGs would target Spandy if they thought those two had Judd’s vote in the end. Judd also tells us that he is rooting for GinaMarie to win the game. Also, during his final goodbyes, Judd also says he hopes that his eyes won’t be clawed out by the women in the jury house that he has scorned! (We hope so, too!)
Ultimately, it’s down to the final four. GinaMarie, McCrae, and Andy will compete in the HOH competition. In a very close game, it comes down to a 3-way tie. The houseguests must answer the tie-breaker question by coming up with the number of seconds they competed in the veto competition. It is close, but Andy comes the closest to the number, and is crowned the new Head of Household!
What will happen now that Andy is in power? And how are all the evicted women plus Judd doing in the jury house? We will find out during the exciting live eviction tonight, Thursday, September 12th at 9/8 central on CBS!
