Sean Kingston’s performance at the University of Western Ontario has been cancelled due to gang-rape allegations from 2010.
TMZ reports that Kingston was slated to perform in Canada September 7 for the school’s Orientation Week. However, the University quickly pulled the plug saying, “Having Mr. Kingston perform could cloud the values surrounding O-Week," adding the school has "zero tolerance for sexual assault."
According to The Hollywood Gossip, Kingston, his bodyguard and band member were accused of raping Carissa Copeloto. Copeloto claimed that she was “obviously intoxicated” as she had smoked pot and taken “7-10 shots” of vodka.
Copeloto explained that she was at a Justin Bieber concert where Kingston has performed. She was offered a chance for a “meet and greet,” but when she arrived at the hotel room she was met with a naked Kingston. She claims she was picked up by the bodyguard and placed on top of him and was gang raped by him, the bodyguard and another band member.
Kingston explained that the sex was 100% consensual.
TMZ notes that the courts have since deemed that her story is not credible and have dropped the case.
