While her estranged husband accepted an award at the Primetime Emmys on Sunday evening, Catherine Zeta-Jones walked the red carpet in in China's Shandong province the day before.
Zeta-Jones, along with Nicole Kidman, Leonardo DiCaprio and John Travolta, was there to attend an event that kicked off the announcement that they’re building a $5 billion film studio there, and AMC Entertainment’s plans to host an annual Chinese film festival there as well.
People reports it was Zeta-Jones’ first public event since announcing her separation from Douglas.
At the Emmys, however, Douglas was wearing his wedding ring and referred to Zeta-Jones as “my wife.”
“I want to thank my wife, Catherine, for her support," he said backstage, USA Today reports.
He also mentioned his kids, saying he wanted to thank "my kids Dylan and Carys and my oldest son, Cameron. I'm hoping I'll be able and they'll allow me to see him soon.” He further explained the comment about his son, Cameron, after that.
