Happy Birthday Avril Lavigne!! The punk princess turns 27 years old today. The Canadian songstress was first introduced in 2000 with her debut album Let Go which peaked at number 2 on the U.S. Billboard charts with the help of hit singles “Complicated”, "Sk8er Boi" and "I'm With You". Lavigne has released the artwork for her self-title album due at the end of the year. Lavigne married Nickleback frontman Chad Kroeger earlier this year.

Lil Wayne is celebrating his “Dirty Thirty” today. Born Dwayne Michael Carter he’s spent much of his life as a rap artist, joining the rap group The Hot Boys in 1996. The New Orleans native released his first album The Block is Hot when he was just 17. In 2008 Lil Wayne released his most celebrated album to date The Carter III in which he won three Grammys for “Best Rap Album”, “Best Rap Solo Performance” and “Best Rap Song” for the hit single Lollipop.

Apple’s mom, actress Gwyneth Paltrow is 41 today. The actor, writer, singer, wife and mother of two got her first lead in acting for her title role in Emma in 1996. Two years later she starred in and won an Academy Award for “Best Actress” for Shakespeare in Love. Paltrow’s resume of films include Shallow Hal, Austin Powers in Goldmember (where she met her celebrity bestie, Beyonce) Iron Man and The Avengers. From 2010-2011 Paltrow guest starred on the tv series Glee as substitute teacher Holly Holliday. Paltrow has been married to Chris Martin of Coldplay since 2002. They have two children, daughter Apple and son Moses.
