After suffering a foot injury in August, Champ Bailey returns to practice with the Broncos.
According to ESPN, the 12-time pro bowler practiced with the starters at times on Thursday. Broncos coach John Fox had this to say after the practice:
"He was limited, we're going to ease him back. It's good to have him back out there, he's been staying in it, in the meetings, he is a team captain for a reason … we'll see day to day how it goes and maybe as early as this Monday night.''
In other Broncos news, offensive tackle Ryan Clady was put on injury reserve and Wes Welker replaced him as one of the offensive captains. The Denver Post reports that Clady will be replaced by Chris Clark on Peyton Manning's blindside.
"I know how hard he worked to get back from his last injury," Manning said of Clady. "Disappointed for him, personally, and certainly for our team. He was a captain. He was a leader. He has a great presence in the locker room. But that's football as we know it."
