Since it was first reported that actor Zac Efron went to rehab earlier this year, there have been a lot of rumors going around. One claimed that the former High School Musical star once partied with Charlie Sheen. But Sheen is now denying those claims.
It was first revealed on Tuesday that Efron was in rehab five months ago and was “not drinking” anymore, according to an E! News report. But then TMZ claimed that he was actually in rehab because of cocaine use and that he sought outpatient care twice in the past 12 months.
RadarOnline reported that Sheen and Efron became close friends and partied together frequently at the Anger Management star’s Beverly Hills mansion. However, Sheen has told TMZ that any report that they partied together is false.
Sheen said that the two met one, 11 months ago, when Efron showed up on the Management set. They happen to share the same publicist, who was on the set that day. He claimed the only time Efron was at his house was two years ago for a Super Bowl party.
Sheen is also annoyed that reports insinuate that he’s gone on a cocaine binge. “Consider the fact that I have completed 54 episodes of Anger Management in a little more than a year ... something that would ordinarily take more than 3 years to accomplish,” he told TMZ.
Efron’s reps have not even commented on the initial reports that the Parkland actor went to rehab in the first place.
