Charlie Sheen is finally speaking out about rumors that he got Selma Blair fired from his FX show Anger Management.
Sheen appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and explained Blair was simply written off the show and not fired.
"One of our primary characters, Selma Blair, who played Kate, was written out because [the show] was not about our relationship, and the problem was too many people were still excited about the Two and a Half character and thinking the Anger Management character was a little dull,” he explained, E! Online reports.
“So that is not the case anymore. She leaves and [my character starts] circling the drain. So it's really fun to watch and hella fun to play,” he said.
At the time Blair left, it was reported that issues between she and Sheen were to blame for her exit. She reportedly got tired of his unprofessionalism and he demanded she was fired or he would leave.
Laura Bell Bundy was hired in her place as Dr. Jordan Denby, Charlie’s new sex-study research partner.
