Charlie Sheen appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno where he cleared up rumors that Selma Blair was fired from Anger Management.
In June, insiders stated that tensions were growing between Sheen and Blair after she went to production claiming that the former Two and a Half Men actors had poor work ethic. Sheen retaliated by telling everyone that he would have her fired.
Days later it was announced that Blair would not return to the series.
Sheen, on the other hand, has a different story. According to Us Weekly Sheen explained the situation to Leno saying, “One of our primary characters, Selma Blair, who played Kate, was written out because [the show] was not about our relationship, and the problem was too many people were still excited about the Two and a Half [Men] character and thinking the Anger Management character was a little dull…So, um, that is not the case anymore."
Sheen continued noting the focus went back on his character who began “circling the drain” following Kate’s departure.
