Cher made one of the most publicized comments on Miley Cyrus’ controversial MTV VMAs performance earlier this week in an interview. But the “Turn Back Time” singer is likely wishing that she could do just that. She took to Twitter Wednesday to say that she’s a “little ashamed” for the comments.

As we previously reported, Cher said in a USA Today interview that was published on Wednesday that Cyrus’ performance was “so bad.”

She continued, “I'm not old-fashioned. She could have come out naked, and if she'd just rocked the house, I would have said, 'You go, girl.' It just wasn't done well. She can't dance, her body looked like hell, the song wasn't great, one cheek was hanging out. And, chick, don't stick out your tongue if it's coated.”

After those statements went viral, Cher went on Twitter that she agrees with the statements she made, but she shouldn’t have said them.

“I didn't keep my big Opinionated mouth Shut,” Cher wrote. “WTF is MY PROBLEM ! I'm 2 Old to fall prey 2"Tell us, Oh wise 1,What did YOU think of M.S ?" She later said that the performance was actually “brilliant” based on the fact that we’re still talking about it three weeks later.

Coincidentally, like Cyrus, Cher also has a new album coming out. Her album will be released on Sept. 24.
