Dakota Fanning is set to join Theo James and Richard Gere on the set of Franny. The 19-year-old will play the role of a new bride, just married to her co-star, James.
According to E! Online, Franny is an indie drama that revolves around a philanthropist and convivial hedonist (Gere) who finds a new meaning to his life after butting into the lives of a young, newly-wed couple.
The List reports that Andrew Renzi wrote the script for the film, which will give him his feature directing debut.
Fanning has previously starred in a wide scope of movies, including Man on Fire, War of the Worlds, The Secret Life of Bees, and the Twilight series. Her most recent project was The Last of Robin Hood, where she starred alongside Kevin Kline and Susan Sarandon.
James is an up-and-coming actor who is best known for his role in Downton Abbey. He is currently working on the big screen adaptation of Veronica Roth's novel Divergent.
