Dina Lohan should have taken cue from her troubled daughter Lindsay. The Mean Girls actress’ 50-year-old mother was picked up for drunk driving Thursday night.
TMZ reports that Dina was stopped in Long Island, NY for traveling 77 mph in a 55 mph zone. When police arrived at her vehicle, Dina is said to have appeared quite intoxicated and following a blood test, which registered at .08-double the legal limit, and a field sobriety test, she was taken into custody.
According to ABC News, Dina claimed to have been injured during her arrest, however officials state, "When emergency personnel arrived and evaluated Lohan, there were no injuries and she recanted her claim."
Dina was booked on counts of driving under the influence and speeding. She picked up later by a sober third party who was not Lindsay. Reports stating that the 27-year-old actress picked her mother up from jail have since been proven false.
Dina is expected to appear in court on September 24 at 9am.
