Actress Elizabeth Hurley and her fiance, Shane Warne, took to Twitter themselves to comment on rumors that they are calling off their engagement.

The rumors began overseas when British tabloids claimed that Hurley didn’t like Warne, a cricket player, spending time with his ex-wife, reports ABC News. According to E! News, there was also a photo of Hurley walking around London this week without her engagement ring.

But the two both took to Twitter on Wednesday to comment on the reports, with Hurley saying that it is too personal to share with the public. Warne insisted that the two have not broken up yet.

Hurley apologized to her 431,000 followers for not making a comment on Twitter immediately. “Too raw & personal to share right now,” she wrote.

“Some of the reports re EH & me r absolute rubbish,” Warne wrote. “Yes we're sorting through some (private) issues. But we're not throwing the towel in yet.”

The couple became engaged in October 2011. E! News notes that they had previously mentioned each other in public Tweets, but have stopped doing so in recent weeks, even though they remain active on the social media site.

Hurley is best known for starring in Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery and recently appeared in Gossip Girl.
