The mother of Gia Allemand, the former Bachelor contestant who took her own life last month, appeared on Dr. Phil to discuss her daughter’s death.
Donna Micheletti told the television doctor she heard her daughter’s “last breath” while on the phone with her as she hung herself with a vacuum cleaner cord.
"She did it while I was on the phone. I heard her last breath," she said, ABC News reports.
Allemand took her life in her New Orleans apartment after a fight with her boyfriend, Ryan Anderson.
"I'm the closest person in the world to her and she didn't want to be alone when she left this world. So she wanted Mommy to be there, I guess,” said Micheletti, People reports.
She went on to say she’s “angry” that her daughter commited suicide “for no reason,” adding, "In 12 hours it would have been fine. I'm really angry."
Jake Pavelka even appeared on the show, saying he did fall in love with Allemand while they were on the Bachelor together, although he did not pick her in the end.
The interview will air on Tuesday, September 10.
