The Giants had a lot of trouble with turnovers on Sunday night, especially from the running back position. David Wilson fumbled twice, and Da'Rel Scott ran the wrong route which led to the game clinching interception. With these issues the Giants have signed Brandon Jacobs, to help sure up the running back position.

Jacobs previously spent his first seven seasons with the Giants as their power back. Last season he signed with the San Francisco 49ers, and it was a lost season according to NFL.com. Jacobs played in two games with the niners last season and attempted only five rushes for seven yards. He suffered a knee injury during the year which caused him to miss time and also was suspended for three games for posting negative comments about the team on his Instagram.

Jacobs will help fill the hole that was left when Andre Brown was placed on the eight week IR with a fracture in his leg. Brown was going to help the Giants in pass protection, because Wilson, the starter, has had trouble grasping the complicated pass blocking schemes.

The deal is reportedly for one year, and Jacobs is very excited to be back where his career began.

"Whatever they need me to do, whatever role they want me to play, I'll come in and do it. I know the offense. I know they've made some tweaks here and there, and I'll do whatever I have to do. The Giants have given me a great opportunity. This is where I wanted to be. These are the coaches I want to play for and I wanted to come back with my teammates. This is the place I love most," said Jacobs according to ESPN.com.

Jacobs rushed for 4849 yards with the Giants and 56 touchdowns in his first stint, which included two one thousand yard rushing seasons. He was also a big part of the Super Bowl winning teams in 2007-08 and 2011-12.
