Four years ago, Hayden Panettiere got a tattoo across her left rib cage spelling out the words “Vivere senza rimpianti,” which means “live without regrets” in Italian. However, the Heroes star is living with one regret – the tattoo itself.
The tattoo is actually spelled wrong. The correct Italian spelling of the phrase is “Vivere senza rimipianti.” Now, according to the Daily News, Panettiere is fixing her mistake and was seen last weekend on Hollywood Beach in Florida sporting a partially faded tattoo. As she swam around in the ocean, her bikini revealed a large chunk of the tattoo missing.
As a child, Panettiere's father always told her that “whenever one door closes, another one always opens.” In the May issue of Glamour magazine, she explained that the “tattoo means ‘Live without regrets.’ It’s not that you don’t regret things in life, but you at least try to learn from them.”
For years, the star was able to joke about the spelling error that spanned a large part of her body. “It’s misspelled too,” she laughed. “So I literally have to live by that advice!”
Now, it seems that she is done living with the tattoo's incorrect spelling and is in the process of erasing it.
The Daily Mail reports that Panettiere's alleged financé Wladimir Klitschko was not by her side when spotted on Sunday.
Panettiere is currently working on season two of ABC's Nashville, which will premiere on September 25.
