Houston Rockets guard James Harden is famous not only for his basketball skills, but also for his facial hair – and he says the only way he'll shave it is if he raises money for charity.

It all started when Harden was too lazy to shave his beard in college, back in 2009. Now, it's grown so well-known that it has inspired T-shirts and songs.

He told TMZ that the only way he'd even think about shaving the facial hair is if he raises money for charity, and he won't settle for less than $80,000. Not only that, but it “depends on which charity,” according to Harden.

Harden recently showed off his beard at the 49ers vs. Packers game in week one. He wore a red 49ers hat, gray 49ers T-shirt and his signature beard, reports the 49ers' website.

The NBA star helped the Oklahoma City Thunder reach the NBA Finals in 2012 and was an All-Star in 2013 as a Rocket, so clearly the long beard is working well for him. We shall see if the right charity ever comes along.
