Ben Affleck finally got a chance to talk about being Batman on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and now his wife, Jennifer Garner, is weighing in as well. Now that all the dust has settled, Garner has said that she’s “excited” for her husband.

While chatting with MTV News about Dallas Buyers Club, her latest film, Garner said that she was happy to hear that Affleck got the job.

“You know, I was excited for him,” she said. “I was excited because he had a real take on what he wanted to do, and you know, I have to say, my husband is a pretty great storyteller himself, and I'm excited to watch him do it.”

Coincidentally, Affleck’s last time as a superhero led to the happily married couple meeting. The two began dating after starring in 2003’s Daredevil together. They married in 2005, the year Garner starred in Elektra.

Garner’s comments come just as Affleck told Jimmy Fallon that he isn’t phased by all the negative comments he sees on the web.

“I'm a big boy. If I can handle an Emmy snub, I can handle anything,” the Argo director said. “You can't say that before a movie comes out. It doesn't matter what you think then, it matters what you think when you see the movie.”

In other Garner news, THR is reporting that Fox is developing The Whole Shebang, a male strip club drama that she has signed on to executive produce. That comes after Fox announced a crime drama pilot that Affleck will direct.

Affleck will be playing Batman in Man of Steel 2, which will hit theaters in 2015.
