On a family trip to the Pacific Palisades farmer's market in Los Angeles, Jennifer Garner went off on a paparazzo for going overboard in snapping photos of her and her children Sunday.
E! reports that when the actress spotted the photographer recording her and her kids with a video camera, she turned on him to give him some of his own medicine. She shoved her camera phone up in his face and took a picture of him.
According to the Huffington Post, Garner teamed up with Halle Berry and spoke out about a bill in August that will protect children and public officials from paparazzi.
In her testimony, she said about a stalker who waited at her daughter's school, "I chose a public life … [but] my three children are private citizens. I love my kids. They're beautiful and sweet and innocent, and I don't want a gang of shouting, arguing, lawbreaking photographers who camp out everywhere we are all day every day to continue traumatizing my kids."
The Los Angeles Times reports that the 41-year-old is passionate about spreading the fact that her kids are just normal kids and don't deserve the abuse they receive from paparazzi.
"I am an actress, but I am a mom first," Garner said "Being stalked has been hard for me, but it's beyond what a child should have to endure. The price paid for pictures of celebrity children is now absurdly high.”
Garner and her husband, Ben Affleck, have three children – Violet, 7, Seraphina, 4 and Samuel, 17 months.
