Jennifer Lawrence is opening up about relating to her character, Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games, comparing her struggles with those that she faces as a celebrity.
The Oscar winner admits to Empire magazine that it would be difficult to say she can relate to someone “facing life and death and war,” but she can draw a comparison no matter how much of a stretch it is.
"It's hard to say you identify with someone who's facing life and death and war. It's not like, 'Oh my God that's, like, totally how I feel,’’ she said, adding, "But there is the connection in that she doesn't feel like just part of the town anymore. Now everyone treats her as a celebrity... Whereas she still feels like she's part of them."
Sugarscape notes Lawrence references going to get a coffee at the same place she’s always gone, saying all of a sudden when she goes “there's this weird mood.”
Lionsgate’s Hunger Games: Catching Fire hits theaters Nov. 22.
