Last week, a YouTube video featuring a woman ‘twerking’ in the hopes to create a hot video for a boyfriend surfaced online. In the video, the young woman is seen in a handstand position, twerking against the door when a friend walks in and sends her crashing into a glass table, setting her yoga pants on fire. It turns out, many YouTube commenter’s were right- the whole thing was a hoax. However, what many are unaware of is the hoax was set up by late night host Jimmy Kimmel.
The video caused a stir online, getting nearly nine million views after Caitlin Heller was turned from booty-shaking cutie to one embarrassed YouTube user.
USA Today reports that Kimmel came clean on Jimmy Kimmel Live, first inviting Heller to the show via Skype chat only to reveal she was actually Skyping from behind a computer on the set.
Heller revealed that her name isn’t even ‘Caitlin Heller,’ and that she is a stunt woman. Along with Kimmel, the pair were able to sway Internet viewers to believe the video was real. Kimmel noted that his partner in crime was “sworn to secrecy.”
What’s more, Kimmel’s revelation has received nearly five million views.
