Joe Flacco was pulled out of pregame warm ups about an hour before the game to talk to his wife on the phone after she gave birth to a baby boy.
According to NY Daily News a team representative pulled the Super Bowl-winning quarterback aside during warm ups and handed him a phone with Dana Flacco on the other line who told him it was a boy. This is the second son added to the Flacco family.
ESPN reports that Dana Flacco was due on Sept. 21, but went into labor on Sunday. Surely there will be talk about whether or not Flacco made the right ethical decision by missing the birth of his second child to start against the Ravens' AFC North rival Browns.
If it's any compensation to Dana for missing his baby's being born, the Ravens did win the game by a score of 14-6 and Flacco went 22 of 33 for 211 yards and a touchdown.
