Joseph Gordon-Levitt is a big Hollywood star and he’s now revealing that he is in a relationship although she’s not in the business.
While most guests of Howard Stern on his SiriusXM radio show go into pretty graphic detail about their personal or sex lives, Gordon-Levitt refrained from talking about his girlfriend.
While talking to Stern on Tuesday, the Don Jon star confessed "I have a girlfriend but I tend not to really like to talk about it in public. She is not in show business,” Us Weekly reports.
He goes on to say that he hasn’t revealed anything about his personal life because he wants people to take his career seriously, and because his girlfriend isn’t comfortable with being in the spotlight.
"I get up in movies and I play other people, so when the audience is watching me in movies, I don't want them thinking about me and who I'm dating, and blah blah blah. I want them to see the character, the story that I'm telling,” he said.
He added, “she really doesn't want to be a part of it. You can imagine not wanting to have that kind of scrutiny."
Gordon-Levitt, who recently shot down gay rumors, also wouldn’t answer the question of whether or not he’s in love and did say they met through “mutual friends.”
