Justin Bieber hinted that he will play the role of Robin for the film Batman vs. Superman on Friday night.
The “Beauty and a Beat” singer posted a photo online of himself with a script for the upcoming film. The script had Bieber's name on it as though it was his, according to Entertainment Wise. The caption for the photo read “#robin?” Bieber has reportedly always been a big Batman fan.
However, The Hollywood Reporter reports that Bieber also took to Twitter earlier on Friday, tweeting that he was “off to do something funny or...die :)” This may just be the prank he was referring to.
Many Batman fans hope that the photo was a joke, worried that Bieber would be terrible in the film. One woman even commented on the photo, saying “Batman would be ruined forever.”
Batman vs. Superman, written by David S. Goyer and Zack Snyder, is slated for a July 2015 release date. Already cast for the film are Ben Affleck to play Bruce Wayne/Batman, Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman and Amy Adams as Lois Lane, among others.
