Justin Timberlake’s aunt, Jane Harless, has been arrested for forging bad checks and allegedly stealing more than $64,000 from the “Suit & Tie” singer’s parents.
Harless’ brother Paul, who is a part owner of the Memphis Grizzlies as well as a partner in Timberlake’s Mirimichi golf course, has been married to Timberlake’s mom since he was 5 years old. She was arrested in Shelby County, Tennessee on Friday after cops gathered enough evidence to charge her.
According to TMZ, Harless forged over 100 illegal checks, issuing them to herself and forging her brother’s name, during a two-year period from 2011 to 2013.
She did work for her brother Paul, Timberlake’s stepdad, before 2011 but it isn’t clear in what capacity she did so and why they parted ways.
Celebuzz notes Harless looks none too pleased in the mug shot that’s been released. No word yet on whether she’s pleading not guilty or owning up to the alleged fraud.
