Kanye West has been charged with criminal battery and attempted grand theft for attacking a paparazzi photographer. The incident occurred at LAX airport on July 19.
According to TMZ, the photographer hired lawyer Gloria Allred, who said the attack left her client badly injured.
If Kanye is convicted, he could face up to a year in jail. His arraignment is October 10.
According to The Huffington Post, Daniel Ramos, the photographer, said West punched him and tried to grab his camera.
The whole incident was caught on tape, where you can see West wrestling with the photographer while trying to grab his camera.
The rapper has confronted paparazzi many times, repeatedly warning them not to take pictures or talk to him or anybody that he knows.
This is not the first time he has gotten in trouble with the law for scuffles with the paparazzi. He was arrested on Sepetember 11, 2008 at the same airport for a similar incident, reported CNN. He and his bodyguard destroyed a photographer's camera because he was taking pictures of them.
