Katie Couric is engaged to longtime boyfriend John Molner.
The former Today show host’s rep confirmed the exciting news with The Hollywood Reporter . Molner, who has been dating Couric for the last two years, proposed to her during a sunset at the beach over Labor Day weekend.
Molner, a banker and the head of mergers and acquisitions at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co, is Couric’s first long term beau since her late husband, Jay Monahan, died from colon cancer in 1998.
Couric gushed about her then beau with USA Today in May. The 56-year-old Katie host noted that her mother “really like him.”
"I encouraged him to be very Eddie Haskell around her,” she continued. “So he's always saying, 'May I get you another Diet Coke, Mrs. Couric?'"
Couric also explains that she doesn’t worry that Molner, who is 50, is younger than her. “I've got a lot of energy, you know. I need someone who can keep up with me!"
