Kelly Clarkson is just a month away from walking down the isle to wed Brandon Blackstock, and she's already looking forward to babies.
According to ABC News, she is even preparing her body for the transition into pregnancy. She is eating a healthier diet and changing her lifestyle to get ready for a baby. “It’s all about just making my body the most healthy inside out,” Clarkson said. “And I’m reading all these books. I have a huge thyroid issue of mine that I’m dealing with.”
The 31-year-old also looks forward to being a stepmom to Blackstock's 12- and 6-year-old daughters. She is excited about having kids in her life, but isn't sure about battling with teenagers quite yet. “Granted, none of them are teenagers yet, so come back to me [later],” she said. “They’re so great, and it just makes me so excited.”
Country Weekly reports that she loves her future step children. “They are so awesome. I lucked out, ’cause I know—I have friends, people who have stinkers,” Clarkson said. The girls love her right back, and expressed their excitement about adding to the family. “Savannah, the 12-year-old, is, like, ‘I want a little sister.’ She’s so excited.”
The “Miss Independent” and fiancé Brandon Blackstock will elope after she wraps up her tour with Maroon 5 next month.
