Earlier this month, Kanye West announced a tour for his album Yeezus. For this tour, he made an announcement that Kendrick Lamar will go with him on tour. However, it appears that the self-proclaimed “King of NY” won’t be around for any of the New York City tour dates.

HuffingtonPost announced that the Yeezus Fall tour will kick off on October 19th in Seattle. The tour will appear in 23 cities in America and Canada for 7 weeks and will feature Kendrick Lamar and some other special guests.

It ends at Brooklyn’s Barclay’s Center on November 19th and New York’s Madison Square Garden on November 23th.

However, Vibe reported that Kendrick Lamar will be missing for those shows in Barclay’s and Madison Square Garden.

It’s only a mystery because Kendrick Lamar proclaimed himself the “King of NY” in his controversial verse on Big Sean’s “Control.” It could just be that Kanye is reserving those spots for Jay-Z and other guests because Kendrick is also not going to be in Vegas (October 25), Philadelphia (November 16) and Tampa, Florida (November 30).

Via HipHopDX, while on tour with Kendrick, Kanye West wants to advise Kendrick Lamar. He spoke on it in his interview with BBC Radio 1.

“I’m just looking forward to the opportunity to speak to this brother as much as possible,” he said in the interview. “Those conversations is gonna be more than everything I said right here ‘cause he’s one of our future messengers and I’ma give him them jewels.”

It doesn’t appear that Kendrick has started recording his sophomore album, but it will be interesting to see what he will learn from Kanye West.
