Despite Kristen Stewart's grumpy expressions, the star gives back to charities very often.
Recently, producer Harry Weinstein appeared in a piece in the NY Times where he described how Stewart received $500,000 from a Middle Eastern Prince. The money would go towards Hurricane Sandy relief efforts, only if he could speak to her.
Stewart sat with the prince for 15 minutes in Madison Square Garden after receiving the money in advance, in cash.
Since the start of her career, Stewart has been donating her time and money to different charities.
In 2010's Welcome to the Riley's, Stewart plays a teenage prostitute given the chance to change her life. While researching the role, Stewart was inspired to help young sex workers and wants to open halfway houses for runaways of slave trade.
Stewart also donated autographed Keds and jewelry she wore to different organizations that fight child prostitution.
In an interview with Vogue in 2011, Stewart explains how the wealthy should keep giving.
"Anytime that I hear that somebody's really rich," Stewart said, "the first question is 'Do you do anything with it? Or do you, like, chill? You just sit on it?'"
Stewart may also be making anonymous donations, proving that her stern expressions and stature do not represent the size of her heart.
