Kristin Cavallari was pulled over in Chicago on Friday and had to go escorted to the police station after presenting an invalid license.
The former reality star's rep told Celebuzz, "She's fine. She was pulled over and taken into custody in Chicago for not having a valid driver's license."
The rep added that "She is a California resident and pays taxes here."
Evidently the 26-year-old gave the cop her California license.
Daniel O'Brien, an Chicago police officer, said that if the license was suspended, then she'd be escorted to the station to pail bail and if it was valid, they would honor it.
According to E! Online and insider said that Jay Cutler's wife was there for only "30 to 40 minutes and she paid $150 in bail."
She was pulled over for speeding, and if you don't have a valid Illinois driver's license you must post a bond, per state law, a Evanston Police Department rep said.
Cavallari took to Twitter to explain what happened:
Who knew having a California drivers license in Illinois was a CRIME to be escorted to the police station to post bail?!! What a morning
