While Lamar Odom was not required to appear in court on Friday in Van Nuys regarding his DUI arrest, instead his lawyer showed up on his behalf. His lawyer, Richard Hutton, also happens to Amanda Bynes’ DUI lawyer.
Not only is Richard Hutton Odom’s lawyer, but in court Hutton confirmed that Robert Shapiro in being his co-counsel for Odom’s defense. Shapiro is most famous for being an O.J. Simpson defense lawyer, reports the NY Daily News. The News also claims that when Jeff Schwartz – Odom’s agent – was asked for a statement he had originally declined to comment. Not much later, he has stated that” Playing in the NBA is still very much a part of Lamar's plans.”
Odom received his DUI on the same day as his fourth wedding anniversary with Khloe Kardashian, according to People. This comes in the latest of troubles to hit the couple as Odom now struggles with a rumored crack addiction.
