Every fangirl and fanboy who loved the Avengers Assemble! movie is anxiously awaiting the release of the spin-off television show Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – as it hits ABC Network on September 24th.

The series is directed by Joss Whedon, creator and producer of many beloved television shows. Yahoo is even noting that Whedon is right on the mark with this series, as the audience from a ComicCon screening of the pilot are claiming that the humor is reminiscent of his Buffy the Vampire Slayer days.

S.H.I.E.L.D. is set to follow Agent Phil Coulson, who “died” in Avengers Assemble (all will be explained in the show, don’t worry) and appears to have been resurrected. The Twitter-sphere is abuzz with the impending premiere of the show - the trending hashtags right now being #coulsonlives.

And for those that can’t get enough, Entertainment Weekly reportedly has secret footage of episodes 2 and 3. They’ve even hinted that there will be a full 90 second clip of footage that will air during Monday Night Countdown on ESPN this Monday night.

Now the biggest question of them all – will there be any more Marvel crossovers for fans to look forward to?
